Bethesda Blues and Jazz Club – 7719 Wisconsin Avenue, Bethesda
Chopteeth Afrofunk Big Band and the Junkyard Saints will take the stage for New Year’s Eve at the Bethesda jazz club. The 12-piece Afrofunk orchestra will headline the concert with “James Brown-inspired rhythms.” The event features a four-course dinner, special hats and unlimited champagne. The party starts at 9 p.m., but doors open at 7 pm. Tickets are $125 per person.
DoubleTree Bethesda – 8120 Wisconsin Avenue
Enjoy a 5-hour open bar, multiple themed venues, a live band, and a DJ at the hotel’s “Elements New Year’s Eve Ball 2015.” General admission to the event costs $119 and you can upgrade to the VIP premium bar for $30 more. For $329 you can get two tickets to the party, a guestroom at the hotel and overnight parking.
Jaleo Bethesda – 7271 Woodmont Avenue, Bethesda
The Spanish tapas restaurant at Bethesda Row plans to host a traditional Spanish New Year’s Eve with an $85 tasting menu featuring unlimited tapas and a toast featuring cava (Spanish wine) at midnight. The restaurant will also have live entertainment. The festivities begin at 8:30 p.m.
Redwood Restaurant and Bar – 7121 Bethesda Lane, Bethesda
Redwood is hosting an “Old Hollywood New Year’s Eve” that will feature a four-course dinner, live entertainment, red carpet photos, a heated outdoor bar and a champagne toast at midnight. The seating for the dinner and dancing package begins at 6:30 p.m. and costs $68. Tickets are available by calling the restaurant at 301-656-5515 or by going to its website.
Mussel Bar & Grille – 7262 Woodmont Avenue, Bethesda
Mussel Bar will be serving its regular dinner menu, but with specials. The restaurant is offering a complementary dozen oysters with the purchase of a bottle of champagne and a band, The Days, will perform live at the restaurant starting at 10 p.m.
Union Jack’s – 4915 St. Elmo Avenue, Bethesda
It’ll be a “2015 British Invasion Ball” at Union Jack’s in Woodmont Triangle. The pub’s event will feature appetizers, a DJ, a Fireball ice luge, party favors and the chance to win a free trip to Jamaica in a raffle. Tickets are $20 for the first 100 people who buy them, but the price will increase after that. You can buy tickets by clicking here.
Caddies – 4922 Cordell Avenue, Bethesda
Caddies is hosting its 12th annual New Year’s Eve bash in Bethesda. The event includes $5.50 Red Bull “bombs”, $8.50 pitchers of Bud Light, Miller Lite, Coors Light and Yuengling and $4.50 wine. There’s a complimentary champagne toast at midnight and a live DJ will play from 10 p.m. until close.
Brickside – 4866 Cordell Avenue, Bethesda
Brickside, the prohibition-style bar on Cordell, is having a free buffet, a DJ and a champagne toast at its no cover cost New Year’s Eve. The doors open at 11 a.m. and the restaurant is encouraging people to come early. “Doors are open until we hit capacity,” says the restaurant’s Facebook page.
Cafe Deluxe – 4910 Elm Street, Bethesda
The Elm Street restaurant is hosting a $35 three-course prix fixe menu all day on New Year’s Eve. Menu items include fire roasted tomato soup, goat cheese salad, crab cakes, chicken penne and more. There will also be a special kids menu for $9.95 per child.
