Former president of NAACP eyes bid for state governor

Former NAACP president Benjamin Jealous has expressed interest in running for Maryland governor in 2018. Jealous would run as a Democrat to challenge Gov. Larry Hogan (R), should he run for re-election. Jealous said President Donald Trump’s election was one factor that has pushed him toward a gubernatorial campaign.
