A complex of 333 luxury apartments above 17,000 square feet of ground-floor retail space is set to open in June near the Shady Grove Metro station.
Retailers at The Daley will include Starbucks and Beauty Sense Nails and Spa, and the first stores are shooting to open in September, according to a press release. The project along Gramercy Boulevard was built as a collaboration between developers EYA and Bozzuto and is part of EYA’s Westside at Shady Grove Metro community.
“We anticipate our mix will include several restaurants and neighborhood convenience businesses. We’ve also had several conversations with larger grocery and pharmacy operators” for future phases of the project, McLean Quinn, EYA vice president of land acquisition and development, said in a prepared statement.
In the release, EYA also unveiled two new floor plans for townhomes at Westside. The models, called the Fitzgerald and Gershwin, are targeted for families in search of a starter home. They feature two-car garages, a loft and rooftop terrace option and three bedrooms on a single level. They’re priced from the mid-$500,000s, and six of them will be available for a 2017 move-in, the release stated.
EYA has installed a Capital Bikeshare station at the Metro entrance, one near the retail core and one in the townhome community. The Bethesda-based developer also plans to set up a Zipcar station and build a clubhouse, outdoor pool, community garden and parks.
