Imagination Stage is bringing E.B. White’s classic children’s book to life with a play that features live music. The show tells the story of a farm girl, a noteworthy pig and an erudite spider.
Shows are Wednesday at 10:45 a.m., Friday at 11 a.m. and 1:30 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday at 1:30 and 4 p.m. The show runs through January. Tickets are $10 to $32.
The Front Bottoms—Friday—The Fillmore, Silver Spring

Indie darlings The Front Bottoms are performing at The Fillmore on Friday in support of their latest album Going Grey, which came out in August. Basement and Bad Bad Hats will open for the acoustic rock band.

VF Dance Theater presents an interactive Thanksgiving-themed show that encourages kids to move and solve problems.
Tickets for Turkeypalooza are $15. Performances are at 11 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.
PechaKucha on women’s issues—Friday—Silver Spring Civic Building
There will be a PechaKucha event—a Japanese presentation-style in which multiple speakers talk for short intervals—focusing on women’s issues and women in the news in 2017 in Silver Spring this Friday. The night includes refreshments and a number of presenters.
Tickets are $15 for the 7 to 9 p.m. event.
Snow on the Row—Saturday—Bethesda Row

Bethesda Lane is set to be decorated as a winter wonderland this Saturday in a “Snow on the Row” event. It features an outdoor screening of How the Grinch Stole Christmas at 7 p.m., as well as hot chocolate, cookie decorating and s’mores stations. Local stores will have deals and promotions going on for Black Friday and Small Business Saturday.
A Christmas Carol—Saturday—F. Scott Fitzgerald Theatre, Rockville
The Hope Garden Children’s Ballet Theatre is staging a ballet performance of the Charles Dicken’s novel A Christmas Carol about Ebenezer Scrooge meeting some ghosts and learning to be generous.
Tickets are $19 to $22 for 1:30 and 6 p.m. shows.

A children’s band that’s been nominated for three Grammys, Brady Rymer & the Little Band That Could will play a show of holiday favorites and new holiday songs at a “Kids Pajama Jam Party” at AMP.
Tickets are $12 for the 5:30 p.m. show. Kids under 2 get in for free.
A Gospel According to Jazz—Sunday—Bethesda Blues & Jazz Supper Club
