“Christmas Time is Here”—Friday night—Strathmore, North Bethesda

Canadian Brass performs chamber music classics around the world. The quintet will play festive songs and holiday standards from “Ding Dong Merrily on High” to “You’re a Mean One, Mr. Grinch” at Strathmore’s Music Center.

Tickets are $35 to $65 for the 8 p.m. event.

For the second year in a row, the Montgomery County Animal Services and Adoption Center will reduce adoption fees on all adoptable pets by 50 percent. Fees for dogs are $75 and for cats are $50. For small animals and exotic pets, fees are $5 to $75. Last year 72 animals were adopted.

The event runs from noon to 5 p.m.

Pet Photos with Santa—Saturday—Bethesda Row

If you already have furry friends, you can bring them to Bethesda Row for photos with Santa. Retailers will offer dog treats and water bowls.

Donations of $10 will benefit Lucky Dog Pet Rescue. The event runs from noon to 4 p.m.

Jagged Edge—Sunday night—The Fillmore, Silver Spring

R&B group Jagged Edge, known for the singles “Let’s Get Married” and “Where the Party At,” will play the Fillmore. Singer-songwriter London Savoy opens for the show.
