A child and an adult were taken to a local hospital after two cars and a Metrobus crashed on Rockville Pike in North Bethesda on Sunday, according to the Montgomery County Fire & Rescue Service.
Both had injuries that were not considered life-threatening, but the child’s injuries were classified as priority two out of a scale of three, with priority one being the most serious.
MCFRS spokesman Pete Piringer wrote on Twitter that the crash happened at about 3:15 p.m. on northbound Rockville Pike at the intersection with Tuckerman Lane. There were no passengers on the bus at the time. The two other vehicles involved were sedans.
Rescue crews also responded to a person trapped in an overturned car on Connecticut Avenue in Aspen Hill on Sunday morning, and the driver was evaluated for injuries. On Sunday evening, there was a two-car crash involving an overturned car in Olney, though injuries were not reported, and a pedestrian was taken to the hospital with nonlife-threatening injuries after they were struck in Takoma Park.
