Car crashes into building at Silver Spring mosque
A driver who may not have realized the car was in gear drove over a railing and crashed into a building at the Beitur Rehman Mosque on Good Hope Road in Silver Spring around 7:30 p.m. Sunday, according to a Montgomery County fire department spokesman. Two people, a 76-year-old man and 71-year-old woman, suffered nonlife-threatening injuries in the crash. [WTOP]

Hotter weather on the way
The heat is coming. The National Weather Service expects a sunny Monday and Tuesday with highs in the mid-70s and nighttime lows dropping to about 50 degrees. Then the 80-degree weather will arrive. Wednesday, Thursday and Friday are all expected to be partly cloudy or mostly sunny with highs in the mid- to upper-80s and nighttime lows in the mid-60s. There’s a chance of showers Thursday night and Friday.
