Nearly 400 members of the community attended CollegeTracks’ Annual Graduation Celebration at the Silver Spring Civic Building on April 25, 2018. The event honored the organization’s high school and college students who will go on to college or enter the workplace. NBC-4 anchor Aaron Gilchrist served as host for the evening and was joined by guest speaker Liana Montecinos, an original Dream Act student, immigration paralegal and aspiring attorney. Also on hand was County Executive “Ike” Leggett, who was honored with CollegeTracks first-ever CollegeTracks Champion Award for his long-term support of higher education in Montgomery County. Dr. Jack Smith, MCPS Superintendent, also participated, sharing the news that CollegeTracks will expand to Quince Orchard High School this Fall, to serve the growing need in Upper Montgomery County.  Principal Sponsor for the event was the Joseph E. Robert Jr. Charitable Trust, G. David Fensterheim, Trustee.  Food was provided courtesy of California Tortilla.
