Police let media observe mental health training class
Montgomery County police this week let the media inside one of the mental health first aid classes taken by officers. The decision to open up the class followed a recent, fatal officer-involved shooting of Robert Lawrence White, whose friends say he had mental health issues. D.C. cardinal faces “credible” allegation of sexual abuse
A D.C. cardinal has been removed from ministry because of a “credible” report that he sexually abused a teenager in New York about four decades ago. Cardinal Theodore McCarrick is one of the highest-ranking U.S. church officials to face accusations in the sexual abuse scandal that has roiled the church.
