Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan has appointed a Montgomery County family court magistrate and a Rockville attorney to fill the vacancies of two judges.
Bibi Berry and Michael McAuliffe were appointed to fill the vacancies, Hogan announced Tuesday in a press release.
Berry is a magistrate in the county court system’s family division, which deals with issues such as divorce, alimony and child support. Before that, she was an attorney specializing in domestic litigation at multiple law firms.
McAuliffe is a partner at the firm Ethridge, Quinn, Kemp, McAuliffe, Rowan & Hartinger, where he has worked since 1987 according to the press release. The firm handles matters involving criminal law, contract disputes, personal injury and estate law.
