Terrain Café in Bethesda hopes to reopen this summer

Terrain Café, the restaurant inside Anthropologie & Co. at 4801 Bethesda Ave. in Bethesda Row, is targeting a summer reopening according to its parent company.

Terrain Café, which opened in 2018, temporarily closed last year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

In response to questions from Bethesda Beat about the reopening timeline for the Bethesda restaurant, parent company URBN wrote a statement that said it is “currently assessing our re-opening timelines in regard to local restriction changes and are looking to re-open this summer.”

Montgomery County began allowing indoor dining at full capacity on Friday.

Kevin Ettenson, the executive chef of Terrain Café in Bethesda, wrote in a Facebook message to Bethesda Beat on May 24 that the restaurant is planning to reopen, but he wasn’t sure of the date.

Little Beet Table reopens in Friendship Heights

Little Beet Table at 5471 Wisconsin Ave. in Friendship Heights reopened in May after a 9-month temporary closure during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The gluten-free restaurant, which opened in late 2019, closed in August 2020. The restaurant posted on its website at the time that “we can’t wait to pick up where we left off in 2021.”

Little Beet Table reopened on May 18, restaurant spokeswoman Lauren Kurtz wrote in an email to Bethesda Beat on May 25.

Takoma Park spa launching food truck operation this summer

The Still Point, a spa at 6 Grant Ave. in Takoma Park, announced on May 25 that it plans to launch a food truck called The Green Rooster that will serve “plant-based, nutritious food that is both delicious and deeply healing.”

The truck will launch in July and will be parked in front of the spa, according to a press release. It will be open daily from late morning to mid-afternoon.

Menu offerings will include smoothies and bowls, salads and ’moles (a twist on guacamole). It will also offer hot and cold froths and medicinal elixirs, according to the press release. Ingredients will be locally sourced.

The Green Rooster is looking to hire a general manager, chefs and baristas, according to its website.
