Norman’s Farm Market opening a stand near Westfield Montgomery mall

Norman’s Farm Market, a local farmer’s market that normally operates three stands in Montgomery County, announced plans to open another stand Thursday near Westfield Montgomery mall in Bethesda.

Norman’s operates stands on Massachusetts Avenue in Bethesda, Jones Mill Road in Chevy Chase and near Tilden Middle School in North Bethesda. The stand near Tilden is currently closed due to construction at the school, according to Norman’s website.

Norman’s plans to set up a large tent at the corner of Westlake Terrace and Auto Park Avenue, featuring produce such as corn, peaches, tomatoes and melons. There will also be fresh cheeses, according to the website.

The Westfield Montgomery mall location might also be used as an alternative pickup location for customers who use the Norman’s community supported agriculture (CSA) service, the website states.

A grand opening event is planned at the site during the July 4th weekend. Norman’s hopes to continue serving there through at least Labor Day.
