Bethesda teens provide workshops to uplift, inspire girls

Two rising sophomores at Holton-Arms School in Bethesda are dedicated to a program called Girls for the Future.

Since April, Maddie Anders and Samantha Gilbert have conducted about 20 workshops with elementary school girls, many of whom come from low-income areas. [WJLA]

Montgomery County continues Triple-A bond rating

Montgomery County has maintained its Triple-A bond rating for 2021 from the three major Wall Street bond-rating agencies.

Metro to mandate coronavirus vaccination or weekly testing for employees

Metro will require employees to be vaccinated against the coronavirus or submit to weekly tests.

The policy goes into effect Sept. 7 and will make Metro one of a handful of large transit agencies to draw a hard line on employee immunization. [Washington Post]
