Dr. Harrison Solomon is a Board Certified, orthopaedic hand surgeon who has been caring for patients in Chevy Chase, Maryland since 2003. Dr. Solomon treats all ailments in the upper extremity from shoulder to fingertip. Particular areas of expertise include carpal tunnel syndrome, fractures of the hand and wrist, arthritis, and rotator cuff disease.
Dr. Solomon routinely performs minimally invasive surgery including endoscopic carpal tunnel release and shoulder arthroscopy. Additionally, many surgeries can be performed with local anesthesia only. Dr. Solomon specializes in this technique as well, performing many surgeries in the office, under “wide-awake” local anesthesia.
In the past 20 years, Dr. Solomon has received many awards and accolades. He is a perennial Top Doctor in the field of hand surgery in both Bethesda and Washingtonian Magazines, as well as a Castle Connolly Top Doctor since 2011. He received his undergraduate degree from Emory University, followed by his medical degree from New York University, an orthopaedic residency at the University of Maryland, and a hand fellowship at the prestigious University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.
Dr. Solomon is a local product, attending Walt Whitman High School here in Bethesda where he still lives. In his spare time he enjoys travel, golf, boating, and the ocean.
