Sixty years ago, the visionary startup was a partnership between co-founders Edward C. Bryant, Ph.D.; a professor of statistics at the University of Wyoming; and two former students, James Daley and Donald King. Headquartered in Montgomery County for 55 years, Westat is a dedicated community partner. It sponsors local and national organizations such as Leadership Montgomery, New Futures and Montgomery College as well as Children’s Inn at the National Institutes of Health, RecruitMilitary and United Way.
Leading Westat in finding innovative ways to support the changing needs of clients is Scott Royal, Ph.D., president and CEO of Westat.
