The Montgomery County police department has released the name of a pedestrian struck and killed by a Montgomery County Department of Transportation (MCDOT) Ride On bus at the intersection of Second Avenue and Colesville Road in downtown Silver Spring on Sunday morning.
Silver Spring resident Mohammed Y. Ramadhan, 29, was pronounced dead at the scene after emergency responders attempted to perform CPR, according to police.
Police are still investigating what happened and how and why Ramadhan was struck. The collision occurred at approximately 1:09 a.m., after which the Ride On bus left the scene and was later located.
