This story was updated at 11:15 on Tuesday to include that the Wootton shelter-in-place was lifted. It was updated again at 11:40 to include that Albert Einstein High was cleared.

Two bomb threats to Montgomery County high schools Tuesday morning were deemed “not credible” by Montgomery County police.

Wootton High School in Rockville sheltered in place and Albert Einstein High School in Kensington evacuated after receiving bomb threats, county police posted on X.

The department posted on X that “Wootton High School is in a shelter-in-place and Albert Einstein High School has been evacuated following bomb threats at each school. Updates will be provided as they become available.”

The department posted at 11:06 that the threat at Wootton High was determined to be not credible and the shelter-in-place lifted. 27 minutes later, another post stated that Albert Einstein High was cleared and students were returning to campus.

Wootton High faced bomb threats last November. A 15-year-old suspect was charged in relation to the incident.
