Bethesda native Katie Ledecky, seven-time Olympic gold medalist, shared that her memoir Just Add Water will be released in June. The book includes journal entries from her youth and early career.

Ledecky graduated from Stone Ridge School of the Sacred Heart in Bethesda and will compete for gold again this summer at the Olympics in Paris. (MyMCMedia).

MoCo public libraries provide animation workshops over spring break

Public libraries in Bethesda, Gaithersburg and Rockville will host animation workshops for children ages 10-15 during the week of March 25-29.

The sessions align with spring break for Montgomery County Public Schools and are led by Leila Cabib, a longtime cartoonist and animator. (MoCoShow).

HouseMouse Books & Vintage in Takoma Park announced the extension of its escape room-style “Escape the Bookshop II” experience through May.

The unique group puzzle game is “based on a real crime that took place in Takoma Park around 130 years ago, designed and created by HouseMouse to be played in our atmospheric little bookshop,” owner Orly Keiner said. (Source of the Spring)
