French Press, a new coffee shop and bakery in downtown Bethesda, is holding its grand opening Tuesday featuring free coffee from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., the restaurant said in an email.

The coffee shop is located at 4918 St. Elmo Ave. in the Bainbridge Bethesda apartment building, and its hours will be from 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekends.

The cafe will serve premium coffee, seasonal and specialty drinks, patisserie, soups, salads, sandwiches and variety of quick bites, the restaurant said in an email.

“Coffee beans are sourced from Swing’s Coffee Roaster, an authentic local roaster serving DMV for over 100 years,” the restaurant said. “French Press will freshly grind and brew the beans in-house daily.”

The restaurant said the cafe will offer a “cozy” interior and summertime outdoor seating.
