A new Montgomery County firehouse in Clarksburg has sat empty for nearly three years due to its lack of access to the sewage system. The firehouse’s pumping station has not had any power because the Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission has not received permission from other property owners to run a power line to the station, according to county Department of General Services Director David Dise.

“We have water to the facility, but I don’t have any sewage services, so I can’t flush toilets. No drain or no waste or anything,” Dise said. [NBC4]
