A car ran over a man lying in the road in Gaithersburg on Tuesday morning, Pete Piringer, spokesperson for Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service, said on X around 8 a.m.
The incident occurred on East Diamond Avenue, and the road has since been closed between Park Avenue and Russell Avenue, according to Piringer.
Piringer said that it was difficult for cars to see the man in the roadway due to “bright sunshine glare.” The man was transported to a nearby hospital after sustaining serious trauma, according to Piringer.
