The National Weather Service (NWS) projects 1-2 inches of snow on Friday for the Washington, D.C. area, including Montgomery County.

The snow is expected to start Friday evening and go into Saturday, so it isn’t expected to impact schools. [The MoCo Show]

County Council proposes spending millions on cameras for parking garages

The Montgomery County Council proposes spending almost $4.8 million on security cameras for county parking garages. Montgomery County Executive Marc Elrich has recommended this to reduce vandalism, theft, assaults and other crimes in garages.

The County Council will discuss this proposal on Feb. 22 at the Transportation and Environment and Government Operations and Fiscal Policy committee meetings. [Montgomery Community Media]

Wisconsin Place office building in Chevy Chase to be renovated

Boston Properties Inc. will be renovating the 11-story, 301,000-square-foot Wisconsin Place office building at 5404 Wisconsin Ave. in Chevy Chase.

The new additions include a 16,000-square-foot indoor-outdoor amenity area, including a 9,000-square-foot rooftop terrace, conference facility and lounge for large company gatherings and private events. [Washington Business Journal]
