Montgomery County police on Sunday identified Anthony Bernard Lee, 35, of Damascus as the man who died when his motorcycle collided with a car last week in Gaithersburg.

About 3 p.m. Thursday, police and Montgomery Fire and Rescue Service crews responded to a report of a collision at the intersection of Snouffer School and Centerway roads, according to a police statement.

During an investigation, detectives determined that Lee was traveling eastbound on Snouffer School Road on a 2014 Suzuki GSX-S750 when it collided with a white 2018 Acura MDX that was making a left turn from westbound Snouffer School Road onto Centerway Road, the statement said.

Lee was ejected from the motorcycle. He was transported to a local hospital where he succumbed from his injuries.

The driver of the Acura, whom police did not identify, was transported to a local hospital with minor injuries, according to the statement.

Police said the investigation is ongoing and asked anyone with information about the crash to contact detectives at 240-773-6620.
