The buzzer beater shot that won Walt Whitman High School the semifinal match over Richard Montgomery High School was featured on ESPN’s SportsCenter Wednesday night.

Will Shapiro, a sophomore, made the shot – his first of the game. The Vikings will play in the state championship on Saturday. (Sports Illustrated).

Enter a contest to win free pizza for a year in Silver Spring

The grand opening of PizzaForno, an automated pizza vending machine, will feature a contest that will award two winners free pizza for a year.

Car driven into pond off I-270

Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service crews responded Thursday night to an accident involving a car drive into a pond off the southbound I-270 ramp to Montgomery Village Avenue.
