Montgomery County police released surveillance footage Wednesday with the hope that the public can help detectives identify six suspects allegedly involved in a March 8 shooting that injured a dog at Pike & Rose in North Bethesda.

“After exhausting every lead during the course of the investigation, detectives have decided to send out a news release and a video in an attempt to identify the suspect[s] with the assistance of the community,” Officer Carlos Cortes told MoCo360 on Wednesday.

Police describe all six suspects as Black males in their 20s to 30s, and the surveillance video shows groups of people talking in a bar and then shows two individuals running away from the scene later.

On March 8 around 12:30 a.m., officers responded to the 900 block of Persei Place for the report of the shooting, according to police. In addition to the PerSei at Pike & Rose apartment complex, the area includes numerous businesses such as Sports & Social Bethesda, Summer House Santa Monica, Call Your Mother Deli, IPIC Theaters and H&M.

Officers found shell casings at the scene and noted that two nearby businesses had been struck by gunfire.

Police said witnesses reported that there was a dispute between a group of people who began shooting at each other in the upscale neighborhood of shops, restaurants and residences. Although no people were injured, a dog, who was with its owner, was shot during the altercation and was transported to a local veterinarian’s office by Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service personnel, according to police.
