Democratic candidate April McClain Delaney has fundraised $536,557 and is leading all candidates for the Maryland Sixth District Congressional race after just one quarter of campaigning, according to the latest campaign finance reports from the Federal Election Commission.

The most recent reports, which were due midnight on Wednesday, cover the campaign financing period that started on Oct. 1 and ended Dec. 31, 2023. McClain Delaney, an attorney with a telecommunications policy background, didn’t declare her candidacy until Oct. 25, but still outraised all other candidates both this quarter and overall, including some who have been in the race since May. McClain Delaney recorded $54,445 in expenditures this quarter.

Among other Democrats:

  • In this quarter, physician and U.S. Army veteran Geoffrey Grammer raised $272,748 and recorded $55,659 in expenditures. His election cycle fundraising total is $511,730.
  • In this quarter, Hagerstown Mayor Tekesha Martinez raised $167,799 and recorded $156,611 in expenditures. Her election cycle fundraising total is $321,877.
  • In this quarter, Del. Joe Vogel (D-Dist. 17) raised $126,942 and recorded and recorded $91,176 in expenditures. His election cycle fundraising total is $379,755.
  • In this quarter, Del. Lesley Lopez (D-Dist. 39) raised $28,986 and recorded $48,368 in expenditures this quarter. Her election cycle fundraising total is $133,335.
  • In this quarter, Joel Rubin, former Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for the Obama Administration, raised $25,790 and recorded $43,635 in expenditures. His election cycle fundraising total is $112,530.
  • In this quarter, Montgomery County Councilmember Laurie-Anne Sayles raised $23,204 and recorded $27,939 in expenditures. Her election cycle fundraising total is $50,013.
  • In this quarter, Ashwani Jain, program director at the National Kidney Foundation, raised $18,203 and recorded $1,273 in expenditures. His election cycle fundraising total is $18,203.
  • In this quarter, Destiny Drake West, former federal employee and founder & CEO of Drake Institute of Women’s Policy, raised $1,273 and recorded $3,256 in expenditures. Her election cycle fundraising total is $11,363.

Air Force veteran Tom Royals is still leading on the Republican side. This quarter, he raised $132,552 and reported $139,701 in expenditures. In the previous third quarter, which covered the period starting July 1 and ending Sept. 30, 2023, Royals outraised all candidates across party lines. He’s raised a total of $292,935 across the campaign cycle.

Among other Republicans:

  • In this quarter, Air Force veteran and former federal employee Mariela Roca raised $65,113 and recorded $48,705 in expenditures. Her election cycle fundraising total is $165,889.
  • In this quarter, former Del. Neil Parrott (R-Dist. 2A) raised $38,109 and recorded $11,397 in expenditures this quarter. His election cycle fundraising total is $151,549.
  • In this quarter, Chris Hyser, a retired Maryland state trooper, raised $36,641 and recorded $11,397 in expenditures. His election cycle fundraising total is $86,373.
  • In this quarter, former Del. Brenda Thiam (R-Dist. 2B) raised $2,512 and recorded $1,858 in expenditures. Her election cycle fundraising total is $26,733.
