Daniel J. Pereles

Dr. Daniel Pereles specializes in sports medicine and arthroscopy and has a particular interest in runners, swimmers, and triathletes. He served as a volunteer with the US Olympic committee and is a member of the editorial board of Runners’ World magazine. His study on stretching and running is widely quoted and used by training programs nationwide. Dr. Pereles genuinely loves his role in helping people recover from illness or injury. He likes to build collaborative relationships with patients, believing that teamwork makes for quicker recovery.

Dr. Pereles was born and raised in the Washington, DC area. He graduated from Winston Churchill HS and went on to college and medical school at the University of Pennsylvania. He was a varsity swimmer at Penn and graduated magna cum laude. His orthopedic residency at George Washington University was followed by a fellowship in sports medicine and arthroscopy at Orthopedic Research of Virginia in Richmond. He has been with the Montgomery Orthopedics division of CAO for 28 years. Dr. Pereles’ mantra is keeping his patients fit for life.
